Looking for something fun to do? Love plants? Then we have the perfect thing for you! Copper Pony is hosting Plant Bingo, benefiting Angel Reins Stable, at Milk & Honey Ciders in St. Joe on Saturday, October 24 from 4:00-6:30!
Angel Reins Stable provides a loving, forever home for rescue horses. These 4-legged angels save lives. They are the foundation of their programs and their mission to serve veterans, survivors of human trafficking, first responders, area non-profits, and others through equine-assisted activities. In addition to providing a loving home for rescue horses, their programs serve (at no charge) veterans, survivors of human trafficking, and others suffering from PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief and more. You’ll find many rescued horses at Angel Reins — horses that were rescued from a very unfortunate fate. One of the newest members of the herd is Bingo, a half Mule / half Belgian Draught, a massive gentle work horse — except he no longer has to work! One day at Copper Pony, Kathy and Bev, both from Angel Reins, were enjoying coffee and Josh, one of the owners of Copper Pony, wanted to discuss the idea of Plant Bingo as a fundraiser for Angel Reins. Kathy had just found out about Bingo who badly needed a good home. Josh said “what’s one more?!” He needed to be rescued and Angel Reins was a wonderful place that could give him a home - bingo! And Plant Bingo! And Bingo was his name-o!
So grab your friends and have a fun night out at Milk & Honey playing Plant Bingo, while helping to continue this place of equine refuge, called Angel Reins! Plant Bingo will be outside in the covered pavilion at Milk & Honey Ciders. There will be heaters, but make sure to dress appropriately. Kathy and her team will have a couple of the rescue horses — and Bingo — at the event, so you’ll even be able to mingle with some equines.
Tickets can be purchased for $30 at angelreinsstable.org and spaces are limited. The cost of the ticket includes a drink token for Milk & Honey Ciders, a cookie from Copper Pony, ten rounds of Bingo with one card a round, and a dauber! Additional bingo cards can be purchased at the event for $1 a card.
We will have 3 winners per round. The first place winner will get to pick a plant from the gold group of plants, the second winner will pick from the silver group of plants, and the third winner will pick from the copper group of plants. The tenth, and last round, will have a grand prize winner as well as the other three winners.
